Led Into Zeppelin literally blew Alhambra Live away on Friday night, live on stage! What a great band and an amazing tribute to Led Zeppelin!

Support on the night was provided by The Violet Hours, featuring members of Led Into Zeppelin plus Helen May on lead vocals.

As always, our resident photographic genius was on site to capture the moment. We also recorded the show on five video cameras and a full multitrack recording through the front of house console, so we will hopefully be able to show you some great video from this show in the near future. Northern Soul fans! We’ve just created a new promo video for our upcoming Northern SoulTrain show here at Alhambra Live. We used some rather good existing footage of the band performing at a festival in Rochdale and added some titles.

Were you at the March of the Mods event last month, here at Alhambra Live?

Our resident artist photographer Paul was on hand to document the show so we thought we would feature some of his images that he’s kindly shared with us. Thanks Paul!

But first, some words from Mark Dugan, who put the entire show together:

March of the Mods Morecambe 2023 – part of an annual nationwide event featuring thirty three gigs raising funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust and other locally nominated charities. The Morecambe event was their biggest yet, with over seven hundred people through the door helping to raise a mammoth £15,500 for the Teenage Cancer Trust and Parkinson’s UK.

Featuring five live bands – Shout, Away From The Numbers, Target 5, The Odels and Midlife supported by DJ’s Gaz Heckmann, Ste Tyson and Si Norfolk all donating their time. They had the place bouncing from 2pm until midnight! Superb sound and lighting supplied by Andrew Prince and Alex Wetton – it really showed what a great venue The Alhambra is!

The Morecambe team are already working on next year’s event – April 6th 2024. It’ll be another top line-up covering the Mod, Ska and Northern Soul classics.
